We're looking for a senior full-stack engineer to help build and scale Walima's core platform. You'll work on our matching algorithms, user-facing features, and backend infrastructure — directly impacting the experience of tens of thousands of Muslim families.
Responsibilities
- →Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
- →Collaborate with product and design to ship high-quality user features
- →Improve platform performance, reliability, and security
- →Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards
Requirements
- →5+ years of full-stack experience (Node.js / React preferred)
- →Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP)
- →Strong understanding of database design and optimization
- →Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment
Build and improve Walima's mobile app experience for iOS and Android. You'll shape how users interact with the platform on their phones — the primary device for most of our members globally.
Responsibilities
- →Develop and maintain Walima's iOS and Android apps (React Native preferred)
- →Implement smooth, fast, and accessible user interfaces
- →Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams
- →Monitor and improve app performance and crash rates
Requirements
- →3+ years mobile development experience (React Native or Flutter)
- →Published at least one app on App Store and/or Play Store
- →Experience with push notifications, deep linking, and offline states

Lead Walima's global growth strategy from the USA entity. You'll own user acquisition, brand partnerships, and international expansion — with a focus on the Bangladeshi Muslim diaspora in North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
Responsibilities
- →Build and execute global user acquisition strategies across paid and organic channels
- →Lead brand partnerships with mosques, Islamic organizations, and diaspora communities
- →Manage performance marketing budgets across Google, Meta, and TikTok
- →Own growth metrics and report to leadership on KPIs
Requirements
- →5+ years growth/marketing experience, ideally in consumer tech or marketplace
- →Deep understanding of the Muslim diaspora community preferred
- →Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making
- →Experience managing cross-cultural campaigns
Support Walima's legal and compliance operations across the US entity. You'll help ensure our platform meets regulatory requirements in the US, while supporting contracts and corporate governance.

- →Review and draft contracts, NDAs, and vendor agreements
- →Monitor US data privacy compliance (CCPA, etc.)
- →Support corporate filings and entity maintenance in Wyoming
- →Liaise with external legal counsel when required

Join Walima's Dhaka tech team and help build the backend infrastructure powering our platform. You'll work on APIs, matching algorithms, payment integrations (SSLCommerz, bKash, Nagad), and core platform features.

- →Build and maintain REST APIs and backend services
- →Integrate and maintain local payment gateways (SSLCommerz, bKash, Nagad)
- →Write clean, tested, and well-documented code
- →Collaborate with the US tech team on shared infrastructure
Requirements
- →2+ years backend experience with Node.js
- →Experience with MongoDB or PostgreSQL
- →Understanding of REST API design patterns
- →Familiarity with Bangladeshi payment gateway integrations is a plus
Design beautiful, intuitive, and culturally sensitive experiences for Walima's web and mobile platforms. You'll own the visual and interaction design of features used daily by thousands of Bangladeshi Muslim families.

- →Conduct user research and translate insights into design decisions

- →2+ years UI/UX design experience for digital products
- →Proficiency in Figma
- →Strong portfolio showing both visual design and UX thinking
- →Understanding of mobile-first design for Bangladeshi users preferred
Own Walima's content strategy and social presence in Bangladesh and globally. You'll create compelling stories, run our social channels, write blog posts, and manage success story content — in both English and Bangla.

- →Write SEO-optimised blog posts and success stories
- →Manage the editorial calendar and content pipeline
- →Coordinate with couples for story submissions and testimonials
Requirements
- →Excellent written communication in both English and Bangla

- →Understanding of the Bangladeshi Muslim audience
- →Basic graphic design skills (Canva or similar) preferred
Run and optimise Walima's paid advertising campaigns in Bangladesh and across the global diaspora. You'll manage Facebook, Instagram, and Google Ads — driving user acquisition at scale with measurable ROI.

- →Plan, execute, and optimise paid campaigns on Meta and Google Ads
- →Monitor campaign performance and report on key metrics weekly
- →A/B test creatives, audiences, and landing pages
- →Manage ad budgets efficiently to hit CPA targets

- →2+ years running Facebook Ads and Google Ads campaigns
- →Proven track record of user acquisition at scale

Be the human face of Walima for our members in Bangladesh. You'll handle support queries in Bangla and English — via chat, email, and phone — helping families navigate the platform with patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.

- →Respond to member queries via chat, email, and phone in Bangla and English
- →Resolve account, payment, and verification issues promptly
- →Escalate complex issues to the relevant teams
- →Maintain CSAT scores and report on common pain points
Requirements
- →Fluent in Bangla and English (written and spoken)
- →Empathetic communication style with patience for sensitive family matters
- →Previous customer service experience preferred
- →Understanding of Islamic marriage culture in Bangladesh
Help maintain the integrity and safety of the Walima platform by reviewing profile verifications, identifying suspicious activity, and ensuring every member on the platform is genuine. Your work directly protects thousands of families.
